The long awaited tax exempted status has been granted by the IRS. TRA is now a publically supoprted tax exempt organization as recognized under 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. Memberships and charitable contributions are officially tax deductible.
The advance ruling period granting us this status is effective February 2, 2001. All contributions that meet IRS requirements as a charitable contribution past this date are tax exempt. Our IRS tax exempt EIN number is 75-2933066. The notification letter from the IRS confirming our status was dated March 22, 2002. We are under a 3 year trial and this status will be re-reviewed by the IRS in 2005.
