The Board of Directors held our quarterly meeting on October 25th and we had a very good discussion about our future goals. While there are many important rail issues, we have decided to focus our efforts in 2004 on getting a federal rail study performed for the South Central Rail Corridor. It is our belief that the federally designated South Central Rail Corridor will be a vital transportation issue in our State. But we must have this study performed so that we will know the viability of such a corridor. This study will look at many things including such items as mobility, capacity, accessibility, community impacts, feasability, and environmental. This study and its resulting information will determine the viability of such a corridor and will arm us with the necessary factual information to promote the corridor and determine the best course of action.
